The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Lucas Bertol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Harkaitz was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Vilela were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after SAN ANTONIO F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Delmiro Ioritz took the corner. 18 minutes into the match, Daniel Figueiredo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SAN ANTONIO F.C's Jacobo Harkaitz. Jacobo Harkaitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Baldomero Gitano came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the SAN ANTONIO F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Gitano couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Baldomero Gitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Piarres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SAN ANTONIO F.C's Pascual Remicio got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Fabricio Xabat charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabricio Xabat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Fabricio Xabat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Baldomero Gitano notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Vilela's Gaudencio Piarres. Gaudencio Piarres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jacobo Harkaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Bertol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Abeitia was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Vilela's zone, Baldomero Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Piarres came out of the goal and Baldomero Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Gitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Piarres having to interfere. Delmiro Ioritz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Bertol in the 68th minute of play forced SAN ANTONIO F.C's goalkeeper Jacobo Harkaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilela's Gaudencio Piarres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Remicio in the 69th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, SAN ANTONIO F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Gitano to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Lucas Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Harkaitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Baldomero Gitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Vilela's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Abeitia came free, but Gaudencio Piarres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Gitano struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Gaudencio Piarres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN ANTONIO F.C. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Baldomero Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAN ANTONIO F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Gitano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Piarres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vilela's Gaudencio Piarres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Abeitia in the 94th minute of play. Vilela's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
