After 8 played minutes, CF Huanchilla Quilmes 's Victorio Laurgain shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CF Huanchilla Quilmes reached it. When Francisco Iratzeder came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pujol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Iratzeder couldn't finish the play. Paulino Sengrat's late challenge caught a CF Huanchilla Quilmes 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Sengrat helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pujol's Paulino Sengrat got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Francisco Iratzeder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Aresti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Valery in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Pablo Carrizo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Aresti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Iratzeder in the 25th minute of play. Juan Pablo Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Valery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Aresti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of Pujol booed when CF Huanchilla Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Remir didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Mugur Balțoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilio Aresti skillfully saved the ball. Emilio Aresti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. CF Huanchilla Quilmes 's Emilio Aresti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Eate in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Valery got free with Juan Pablo Carrizo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felippe Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Emilio Aresti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to CF Huanchilla Quilmes getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ambrosio Remir hit a great ball. Rolando Valerio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The Pujol fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Pujol's Felippe Braga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Jacinto Valery put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Pablo Carrizo. Basilio Urtats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74thth minute of the game Jacinto Valery who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pujol's Juan Pablo Carrizo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 74 played minutes Pujol got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Elia. A collision led to CF Huanchilla Quilmes getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Filomeno Salvadore hit a great ball. When Victorio Laurgain fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Huanchilla Quilmes 's protests and gave Victorio Laurgain a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, CF Huanchilla Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Laurgain to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Iratzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. CF Huanchilla Quilmes 's Emilio Aresti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save CF Huanchilla Quilmes from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Mugur Balțoi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CF Huanchilla Quilmes 's Emilio Aresti did a great save. Juan Pablo Carrizo came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by CF Huanchilla Quilmes 's Jacinto Valery. But to his dismay, Jacinto Valery quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 91st minute, Mugur Balțoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvano Handi struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Juan Pablo Carrizo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Huanchilla Quilmes . After 96 minutes of play, Pujol's Felippe Braga made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilio Aresti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chants of Pujol echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as CF Huanchilla Quilmes had held the ball for most of the match.
