Spectators: 7149 (Terracing: 5363, Seating: 1644, VIP seats: 142) MELIME's Anibal Ostots started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Mark had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulino Montrell. MELIME's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Mark was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th match minute, MELIME was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Fertus to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Arturo Felo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eyvind Ceballo. Fantasma del Descenso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Felo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Aurelio Dominix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Montrell having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MELIME's zone, Ubaldo Mark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Montrell came out of the goal and Ubaldo Mark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MELIME's Paulino Montrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Dominix in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Fantasma del Descenso's Ubaldo Mark made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulino Montrell was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35thth minute of the game Cirilo Etor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MELIME's Paulino Montrell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulino Montrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Dominix, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Paulino Montrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Etor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ubaldo Mark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulino Montrell was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Eyvind Ceballo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Ostots, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Dominix made a kick off. Ubaldo Mark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aurelio Dominix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Paulino Montrell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 67th minute, but Paulino Montrell got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving MELIME hanging dry this time. Erubiel Innocenzio's late challenge caught a Fantasma del Descenso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erubiel Innocenzio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fantasma del Descenso booed when MELIME was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Innocenzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, MELIME's goalkeeper Paulino Montrell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Dominix. After 73 played minutes Fantasma del Descenso got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Pepillo. MELIME's Paulino Montrell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save MELIME from getting a goal against them. Silvano Fertus hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Aurelio Dominix came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Fantasma del Descenso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Dominix couldn't finish the play. MELIME's Anibal Ostots got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fantasma del Descenso's goalkeeper Eyvind Ceballo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulino Montrell made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Aurelio Dominix sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Ubaldo Mark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th match minute, MELIME was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Fertus to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Fantasma del Descenso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MELIME.
