Vladimiro Leguizamón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ciriaco Chayo made a huge save. 9 minutes into the game, Billinghurst's Desiderio Gamus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciriaco Chayo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Domingos Iratxo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciriaco Chayo. That made the score 3-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 18th minute Desiderio Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimiro Leguizamón in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Chayo saved Cortines from getting behind. After 25 minutes, Everardo Senen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cortines and the Billinghurst players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vladimiro Leguizamón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ciriaco Chayo made a huge save. With his leg Ciriaco Chayo managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Billinghurst's Vladimiro Leguizamón fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Montae in the 43rd minute of play forced Billinghurst's goalkeeper Vacib Beytekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Fernan Montae made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Cortines got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Solustiano. After 54 minutes, Vladimiro Leguizamón made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cortines's Ciriaco Chayo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciriaco Chayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Leguizamón, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Isadore during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Billinghurst booed when Cortines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Isadore didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Leguizamón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciriaco Chayo was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Cortines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Billinghurst the free kick. Ciriaco Chayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Leguizamón in the 74th minute of the match. Vacib Beytekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Isadore in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Everardo Senen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vacib Beytekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Efraim's late challenge caught a Billinghurst's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Efraim helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Cortines got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Efraim. Luís Eduardo Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimiro Leguizamón in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Chayo saved Cortines from getting behind. When Adolfo Isadore was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. A collision led to Cortines getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Adolfo Isadore hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Leguizamón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciriaco Chayo was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Billinghurst's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
