Cristobal Hug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Quentin in the 7th minute of the match. Teodoro Serafo took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristobal Hug. Cristobal Hug dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Quentin in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristobal Hug prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Quentin came free, but Cristobal Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Sarmiento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Oso to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Hug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Serafo in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the BOCA Jr defense, Domingo Urtzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristo Brais. The BOCA Jr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristo Brais should have stopped the shot. Cristobal Hug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Serafo in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Raul Quentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Cristobal Hug was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento's Lisandro Peyo got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Quentin in the 32nd minute of play forced Sarmiento's goalkeeper Cristobal Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Teodoro Serafo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristobal Hug. Sarmiento's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Serafo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteve Lia in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Brais saved BOCA Jr from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento's Belmiro Fontes got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Quentin came free, but Cristobal Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristobal Hug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Serafo in the 61st minute of play. Cristobal Hug came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by BOCA Jr's Henrik Alebäck. But to his dismay, Henrik Alebäck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The supporters of BOCA Jr booed when Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Serafo in the 78th minute of play forced Sarmiento's goalkeeper Cristobal Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Silvestre Barrionuevo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristobal Hug showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Quentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Raul Quentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Cristobal Hug made a huge save. BOCA Jr's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
