With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Mouricio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AFC Ajax's Severino Mouricio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Ajax from getting a goal against them. Victorino Senin kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Pedro Salomone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alonzo Goiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Severino Mouricio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, La Normal F C's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Gaspard came free, but Enrique Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Mouricio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Salomone, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Prudencio Ermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The long shot by Efrain Timo in the 39th minute really tested Severino Mouricio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Raul Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Mouricio having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Prudencio Ermano's late challenge caught a AFC Ajax's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prudencio Ermano helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Senin. In the 58th minute, Raul Basualdo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Dominic during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. La Normal F C made a substitution. Rodolfo Venerando replaced Raul Basualdo. A collision led to AFC Ajax getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Victoriano Dominic hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Alonzo Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Mouricio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, La Normal F C's Enrique Orlan got control of the ball when Ezequiel Soin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Prudencio Ermano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, La Normal F C's Prudencio Ermano got a free kick in the 84th minute. Enrique Orlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Rencio went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 97th minute Victorino Senin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC Ajax were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over La Normal F C's much stronger midfield.
