In the 3rd minute Faustino Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Pello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaberto Pello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Salomone, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th match minute, Dumesnil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Mikelats to maneuver through the defense. Guaberto Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Mikelats in the 13th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Faustino Salomone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Renca AFC's Guaberto Pello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Renca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Salomone came free, but Guaberto Pello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Mikelats in the 27th minute of play forced Renca AFC's goalkeeper Guaberto Pello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leonel Mikelats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Salomone in the 34th minute of the match. Renca AFC's Jonas Arotza got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Oscar Pereyra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Salomone in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Renca AFC's goalkeeper Guaberto Pello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Salomone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Renca AFC's goalkeeper Guaberto Pello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Mikelats. Guaberto Pello was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Dumesnil FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Francisco Aritza hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Jonas Arotza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renca AFC's Guaberto Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Salomone in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Dumesnil FC booed when Renca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Silbestre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes Renca AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Arotza. The Dumesnil FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dumesnil FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
