Venancio Cordarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Kepa in the 34th minute of the match. Venancio Cordarin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carolo Txanton's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the game, Serafino Unax was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Olmedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Roja the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Olmedo's Serafino Unax got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Olmedo's goalkeeper Venancio Cordarin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Sportivo Olmedo's goalkeeper Venancio Cordarin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carolo Txanton. 76 minutes into the match, La Roja's Evaristo Kepa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Cordarin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Evaristo Kepa came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the La Roja fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Olmedo's zone, Carolo Txanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Cordarin came out of the goal and Carolo Txanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Carolo Txanton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Roja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carolo Txanton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
