If Leopoldo Eyague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Jusepe in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Poz saved Paula FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Paula FC's zone, Leopoldo Eyague stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Poz came out of the goal and Leopoldo Eyague tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Paula FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Eyague came free, but Pedro Poz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Nicanor Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Pala Rica F.C.'s goalkeeper Silvano Kaiet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Barbosa. When Benedicto Balasi came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Paula FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Balasi couldn't finish the play. Gilberto Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pala Rica F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 47 minutes into the game, Gustavo Jusepe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pedro Poz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leopoldo Eyague stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Paula FC's Justino Ferrando seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Justino Ferrando the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paula FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Justino Ferrando had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a defensive mix-up in Pala Rica F.C.'s zone, Herminio Bladi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Kaiet came out of the goal and Herminio Bladi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Pala Rica F.C.'s Leopoldo Eyague sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Poz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Jusepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Poz having to interfere. Leopoldo Eyague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pala Rica F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
