The supporters of Paula FC booed when Agote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Txomin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes Agote FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Umbruso. Hector Leheren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pedro Poz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Barbosa got free with Santiago Cordarryl in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Barbosa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Santiago Cordarryl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Santiago Cordarryl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erasmo Jakue went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Hector Leheren might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Poz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Leheren ran back to his position shaking his head. Paula FC's Pedro Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Romildo in the 32nd minute of play. Agote FC's Santiago Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Balasi in the 35th minute of play. When Hector Leheren came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Agote FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Leheren couldn't finish the play. Agote FC's Serafin Txomin got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Paula FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Herminio Bladi hit a great ball. Pedro Poz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Leheren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Leheren to make the kick off. Hector Leheren had several of the Paula FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 54 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Pedro Poz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Hector Leheren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hector Leheren came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Agote FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Leheren couldn't finish the play. Agote FC's Serafin Txomin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ramon Feliu, made in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th match minute, Paula FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Feliu to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Agote FC's Serafin Txomin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Poz. Pedro Poz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Christian Umbruso hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Agote FC's zone, Gilberto Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Cordarryl came out of the goal and Gilberto Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximo Romildo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Pedro Poz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agote FC. Agote FC played a much better game than Paula FC and deserved their victory. The Paula FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
