The throw-in from Ciro Galtero in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Juancho's Cornelio Veronica. Emiliano Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Roldanillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Roldanillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Asteri. La Giovanni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Roldanillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jairo Berriotxoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Luciano Olentzaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emiliano Asteri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jairo Berriotxoa took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiliano Asteri. Emiliano Asteri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Natanael Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Remir in the 23rd minute of play. If Baldomiro Roldanillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emiliano Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Berriotxoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Juancho's Baldomiro Roldanillo in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Giovanni's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the game, Jairo Berriotxoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Emiliano Asteri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Horacio Cerilo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Jeronimo Uxio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natanael Arce showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emiliano Asteri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Roldanillo went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in La Giovanni's zone, Jairo Berriotxoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Asteri came out of the goal and Jairo Berriotxoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolo Remir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Berriotxoa got free with Emiliano Asteri in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomiro Roldanillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Asteri having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Jairo Berriotxoa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and La Giovanni's Emiliano Asteri didn't even have to move. In the 58th minute Baldomiro Roldanillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natanael Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Piorno in the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Juancho's Baldomiro Roldanillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Asteri. That made the score 0-7 after 65 minutes of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of La Giovanni:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Juancho:s goal. The referee gave Juancho a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luciano Olentzaro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of La Giovanni's Emiliano Asteri. 0-8. After 77 played minutes Juancho got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Olentzaro. 80 minutes into the match, Jairo Berriotxoa notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of La Giovanni's Emiliano Asteri. Emiliano Asteri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Juancho's Baldomiro Roldanillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Emiliano Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Roldanillo in the 95th minute of play. Juancho played a much better game than La Giovanni and deserved their victory. The La Giovanni players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
