The audience was convinced that Guillermo Reynardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herminio Urbez was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 74th minute Guillermo Reynardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Urbez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Raman in the 77th minute of play forced Monserrat's goalkeeper Herminio Urbez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emilio Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Reynardo in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Urbez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Alicia fully deserved thier win.
