Xamo Sampil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Rubio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Xamo Sampil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, EL BANQUITO FC's Leandro Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Orlando Poncio's late challenge caught a EL BANQUITO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Poncio helped the player get up and apologised. Virgilio Rubio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Florian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes, Leandro Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL BANQUITO FC and the Mens Sana players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to EL BANQUITO FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Leandro Azevedo hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Vinicio Florian made the kick off in the second half. Xamo Sampil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Virgilio Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, EL BANQUITO FC's Virgilio Rubio got control of the ball when Xamo Sampil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Genaro Madeo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Bernardo Satordi fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mens Sana's protests and gave Bernardo Satordi a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Mens Sana got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Satordi. Vinicio Florian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Rubio having to interfere. Aurelio Ourente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. EL BANQUITO FC's Virgilio Rubio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Florian in the 82nd minute of play. Vinicio Florian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Virgilio Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgilio Rubio made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Xamo Sampil sent off a good shot on target. Virgilio Rubio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Florian, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Mens Sana's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
