Thanks to some nice moves Celso Macario could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Gaudencio Telesforo however easily saved by the left post. 8 minutes into the match, Funebrero's goalkeeper Gaudencio Telesforo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anier Ofelio. Jimeno Pirro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Telesforo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Celso Macario hit a great ball. Gaudencio Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Pirro in the 18th minute of the match. Generoso Kiliz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaudencio Telesforo came out and tried to block the shot, but Generoso Kiliz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. Gaudencio Telesforo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Pirro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Macario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Gaudencio Telesforo made a huge save. Celso Macario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Telesforo having to interfere. Gaudencio Telesforo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Pirro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Funebrero's Gaudencio Telesforo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Funebrero from getting a goal against them. River Plate's Jimeno Pirro got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Funebrero got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Rico. Jimeno Pirro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Jimeno Pirro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaudencio Telesforo. Jimeno Pirro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Rico to strike the kick off in the second half. Celso Macario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Telesforo having to interfere. Jimeno Pirro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Funebrero's Gaudencio Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Katia in the 64th minute of play. Jimeno Pirro scored 4-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaudencio Telesforo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the match, River Plate's Jimeno Pirro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaudencio Telesforo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Pirro in the 75th minute of play forced Funebrero's goalkeeper Gaudencio Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Anier Ofelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Ofelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Telesforo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. River Plate's Marek Sagan was substituted for Jimeno Pirro. 85 minutes into the match, Marek Sagan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaudencio Telesforo. Funebrero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marek Sagan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Funebrero's Gaudencio Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Macario in the 89th minute of play. Celso Macario scored 6-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaudencio Telesforo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that River Plate were the better team. River Plate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
