The audience was convinced that Anselmo Maurino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eriberto Shepherd was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute, Amancio Locaio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eriberto Shepherd was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eriberto Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Fernanco in the 19th minute of the match. Anselmo Maurino kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Anselmo Maurino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Ramirez hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Aldao's Eriberto Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Fernanco in the 30th minute of play. Silvio Bittor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Fernanco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eriberto Shepherd having to make a save. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Anselmo Maurino sped through Aldao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eriberto Shepherd. After a defensive mix-up in Aldao's zone, Anselmo Maurino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Shepherd came out of the goal and Anselmo Maurino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anselmo Maurino to make the kick off. Geronimo Valerio kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 52 minutes, Romeo Shantala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Shantala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Maurino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eriberto Shepherd was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Domingo Lizbeth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Perfecto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Obanta got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Estavan. Eriberto Shepherd didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Obanta's Anselmo Maurino shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Maurino in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eriberto Shepherd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingo Lizbeth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eriberto Shepherd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Maurino's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Arsenio Estavan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Estavan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Shepherd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute Anselmo Maurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Aldao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Otsando to maneuver through the defense. Angel Fernanco struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Eriberto Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obanta. When the match was over Obanta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aldao throughout the match.
