Placido Montrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Duarte in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Guilabertus in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Cordarrol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honorato Cordarrol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Guilabertus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Eduardo Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Montrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Flores hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes Carasucias de Boulogne got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Mendiko. In the 23rd minute, Eduardo Duarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Guilabertus came free, but Honorato Cordarrol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Salvino. 38 minutes into the match, Carasucias de Boulogne's Venancio Rexino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Placido Montrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Duarte in the 40th minute of play forced Carasucias de Boulogne's goalkeeper Placido Montrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Honorato Cordarrol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernan Guilabertus. Placido Montrell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Duarte went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Eduardo Duarte made a precise shot to the right of Placido Montrell. Carasucias de Boulogne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cícero Soeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Carasucias de Boulogne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Rexino to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Guilabertus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Cordarrol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Hernan Guilabertus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carasucias de Boulogne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.Independiente the free kick. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when Carasucias de Boulogne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Guilabertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Flores came free, but Honorato Cordarrol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Javiero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Placido Montrell made a huge save. C.A.Independiente's Guaberto Osoro was substituted for Elpidio Sazon. C.A.Independiente's José Paulo do Nascimento was substituted for Eduardo Duarte. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo do Nascimento in the 72nd minute of play forced Carasucias de Boulogne's goalkeeper Placido Montrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venancio Rexino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernan Guilabertus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Montrell made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Edgard Niva sent off a good shot on target. C.A.Independiente's Saul Sadurni was substituted for Feliciano Honesto. Carasucias de Boulogne's Melchor Benet quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Miguel Aballe, made in the 84th minute of the game. Honorato Cordarrol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Rexino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Mendiko made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Venancio Rexino however managed to control. Placido Montrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Guilabertus in the 95th minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Honorato Cordarrol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorato Cordarrol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Guilabertus's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The C.A.Independiente supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A.Independiente would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
