After a rather tough play, LA MERCED's Guido Bento got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Severo Dino hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's Juninho Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elpidio Hartz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nunez Sugoi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, LA MERCED's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Klaes Bjørnsfort fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 15th minute, Amancio Reno made a precise shot to the right of 姚飞升. Club Atlético River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 姚飞升 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Reno, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st of the match, Juninho Magalhães tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Elpidio Hartz got in the way and made a wonderful save. With his leg Elpidio Hartz managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Club Atlético River Plate's Klaes Bjørnsfort fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th match minute, LA MERCED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Abeitia to maneuver through the defense. Juninho Magalhães had several of the LA MERCED's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Elpidio Hartz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Club Atlético River Plate's Klaes Bjørnsfort was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Elpidio Hartz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Alfredo Espiridion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klaes Bjørnsfort in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elpidio Hartz saved LA MERCED from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Reno came free, but 姚飞升 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaes Bjørnsfort in the 63rd minute of play forced LA MERCED's goalkeeper Elpidio Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Reno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elpidio Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Magalhães in the 69th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Victorio Benino in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Atlético River Plate's Cecilio Iyan. Laureano Furman in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of 姚飞升, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Klaes Bjørnsfort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juninho Magalhães took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elpidio Hartz. Elpidio Hartz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After 89 played minutes Club Atlético River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Klaes Bjørnsfort. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético River Plate fully deserved thier win.
