In the 9th minute, Silvio Romano made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Clis. Club A. River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Sara FC's Emanuel Pero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Sara FC from getting a goal against them. Zeledon Clis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Vimaro in the 14th minute of the match. Silvio Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Zeledon Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeledon Clis came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Sara FC's Silvio Romano. But to his dismay, Silvio Romano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 32nd minute, Bonifacio Vimaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Clis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. A collision led to Sara FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Carlos Ayala hit a great ball. Albino Iruinea in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emanuel Pero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 41st minute, Silvio Romano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bonifacio Vimaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Zeledon Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliciano Arnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

In the 51st minute, Carolo Txaran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th minute, Sara FC's Carlos Ayala ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zeledon Clis. Zeledon Clis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Zeledon Clis made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Silvio Romano sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute Feliciano Arnau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Pero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Romano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feliciano Arnau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Pero having to interfere. When Feliciano Arnau came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Club A. River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Arnau couldn't finish the play. After 83 played minutes Club A. River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Albino Iruinea. Emanuel Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Iruinea in the 88th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Ayala during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club A. River Plate booed when Sara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sara FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sara FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
