An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Aguilera in the 18th minute of play forced La Cortada FC's goalkeeper Apolo Solustiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the La Cortada FC defense, Zeledon Eguerdi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Solustiano. The La Cortada FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Solustiano should have stopped the shot. Apolo Solustiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Aguilera in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Evelio Oihan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Lopes to make the kick off. A collision led to Ariel del Plata getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Zeledon Eguerdi hit a great ball. Prospero Aguilera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Modesto Matxin put in a rough tackle. After 63 played minutes La Cortada FC got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Matxin. Claudio Piorno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 张荣明 in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute 张荣明 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 张荣明 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 张荣明's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Piorno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. La Cortada FC's Evelio Oihan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zacarias Mateo, made in the 77th minute of the game. Apolo Solustiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Eguerdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, 张荣明 managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cortada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but 张荣明 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Piorno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Ariel del Plata's goal looked a bit too open when 张荣明 came free, but Claudio Piorno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, La Cortada FC's goalkeeper Apolo Solustiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Eguerdi. 86 minutes into the match, La Cortada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Nisio came free, but Apolo Solustiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ariel del Plata's Zeledon Eguerdi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Apolo Solustiano. That made the score 0-2 after 89 minutes of play. After 93 minutes, Zacarias Mateo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariel del Plata and the La Cortada FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ariel del Plata's Zacarias Mateo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Apolo Solustiano made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Zeledon Eguerdi sent off a good shot on target.
