Aldosivi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Osvaldo Fernanco scored to the left of an out of position Leon Dunixi, making the score, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Osvaldo Fernanco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldo Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Leon Dunixi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Dunixi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Dunixi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldo Fernanco in the 22nd minute. Leon Dunixi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Santos in the 24th minute of play. Novena Legion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Fernanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

In the 54th minute, Osvaldo Fernanco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Fernanco in the 56th minute of play forced C.A. Aldosivi's goalkeeper Leon Dunixi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Novena Legion fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Novena Legion's Patricio Santos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Aldosivi defense, Osvaldo Fernanco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Dunixi. The C.A. Aldosivi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Dunixi should have stopped the shot. If Gilberto Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Osvaldo Fernanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Dunixi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Dunixi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Fernanco in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Novena Legion fully deserved thier win.
