After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Marco Nahia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timoteo Hitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lisandro Sengrat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cristian Aimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.A.SANTA ANA's Angel Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bombal AFC's Jesus Millrick pulled a muscle in his leg after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Ivan Hechter fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.SANTA ANA's protests and gave Ivan Hechter a yellow card for diving instead. Ivan Hechter hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Cristian Aimar was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Horacio Virila capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Horacio Virila really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Machado in the 33rd minute of play forced Bombal AFC's goalkeeper Timoteo Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A.SANTA ANA's Cristian Aimar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.SANTA ANA from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Daunte got free with Cristian Aimar in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42ndth minute of the game Angel Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bombal AFC's Timoteo Hitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Angel Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Hitz having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Daunte made a kick off. Marco Nahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Timoteo Hitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angel Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timoteo Hitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angel Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Bombal AFC's zone, Marco Nahia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timoteo Hitz came out of the goal and Marco Nahia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Timoteo Hitz made a huge save. With an all-out effort, C.A.SANTA ANA's Timoteo Hitz threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Nahia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Timoteo Hitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Nahia in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, C.A.SANTA ANA's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Daunte came free, but Cristian Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Antonio Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.SANTA ANA's protests and gave Antonio Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bombal AFC booed when C.A.SANTA ANA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match, Angel Machado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Timoteo Hitz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Bombal AFC's Norberto Llin got a free kick in the 85th minute. C.A.SANTA ANA played a much better game than Bombal AFC and deserved their victory. The Bombal AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
