When Ayacucho Futbol Club's Oscar Chale in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Lanus's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Ayacucho Futbol Club getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Americo Firmo hit a great ball. Club Atletico Lanus's Jonatan Mattin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ayacucho Futbol Club. A collision led to Ayacucho Futbol Club getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Severo Vigil hit a great ball. When Americo Firmo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ayacucho Futbol Club's protests and gave Americo Firmo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ayacucho Futbol Club's Americo Firmo got a free kick in the 25th minute. Cornelio Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Chale, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Americo Firmo took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Gau. Cornelio Gau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 36th minute, Severo Vigil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Gau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Carolo Canor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Lanus's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Canor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Iyan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Lanus's Carolo Canor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Iyan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Ayacucho Futbol Club were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esteban Urti to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Ayacucho Futbol Club's Oscar Chale made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Gau was left in no man's land by his defense there! 54 minutes into the game, Ayacucho Futbol Club's Oscar Chale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Gau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Carolo Canor kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Oscar Chale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Gau having to interfere. Cornelio Gau was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Severo Vigil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Severo Vigil really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. In the 71st minute Eusebio Rioja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Iyan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebio Rioja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Leon Iyan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Oscar Chale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Cornelio Gau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Atletico Lanus's Cornelio Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Urti in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Lanus's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Firmo came free, but Cornelio Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nemesio Kelemen scored 1-9 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Iyan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
