Chacarita Juniors's Eloy Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Polo in the 20th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Ezequiel Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Indalecio kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Raimundo Eguzki put in a rough tackle. Adriana Fix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Dalmu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eloy Shepherd made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Gustavo Donostia sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the match, Christian Polo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eloy Shepherd, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Adriana Fix was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bonifacio Fiz. Chacarita Juniors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
