Fernando Iago hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Alejandro Preda succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Nunez Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Alejandro Preda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Lehoi in the 38th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejandro Preda made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Natalio Toro notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Carpe Diem's Astor Montrel. Astor Montrel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 56 minutes of play, Villa Ballester FC's Natalio Toro made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Astor Montrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgardo Selmo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Astor Montrel came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Ballester FC's Alejandro Preda. But to his dismay, Alejandro Preda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Natalio Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejandro Preda in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Astor Montrel saved Carpe Diem from getting behind. Astor Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Lehoi in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Alejandro Preda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Astor Montrel. Carpe Diem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Preda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 81stth minute of the game Nemesio Lop who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Ballester FC's Wellington Gaúcho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carpe Diem's Astor Montrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Toro in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Carpe Diem's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Toro came free, but Astor Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Natalio Toro sped through Carpe Diem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Astor Montrel. Alejandro Preda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Montrel having to interfere. The supporters of Villa Ballester FC booed when Carpe Diem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Nikola didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Villa Ballester FC fully deserved thier win.
