An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Nataniel in the 4th minute of play forced La Vecchia Signora 's goalkeeper Damaso Adrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th match minute Maximiliano Procopio ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Damaso Adrio. 1-0. Teofilo Gaspard struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Higinio Guerau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Vecchia Signora . La Vecchia Signora 's Rodolfo Lizbeth managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Laureano Nataniel in the 18 minute of the game. Rodolfo Lizbeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Higinio Guerau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damaso Adrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Bitxintxo in the 20th minute of play. Teofilo Gaspard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Guerau having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, La Vecchia Signora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Lizbeth to maneuver through the defense. Desiderio Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Damaso Adrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Cidro hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Anier Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Guerau having to interfere. Jairo Bitxintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Damaso Adrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Salsacate's zone, Teofilo Gaspard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Guerau came out of the goal and Teofilo Gaspard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Gaspard to make the kick off. A collision led to Salsacate getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Desiderio Marquez hit a great ball. Anier Rico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Vecchia Signora 's Damaso Adrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Marquez in the 61st minute of play. Damaso Adrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Salsacate booed when La Vecchia Signora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Panpili didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Eduardo Bernabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Adrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Gaspard got free with Higinio Guerau in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute Jairo Bitxintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Adrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Adrio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desiderio Marquez's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Eduardo Bernabel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salsacate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Damaso Adrio came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Salsacate's Desiderio Marquez. But to his dismay, Desiderio Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. La Vecchia Signora 's Anier Rico got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. La Vecchia Signora 's Damaso Adrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Marquez in the 94th minute of play. Damaso Adrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Hunfredo in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the La Vecchia Signora players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Salsacate.
