Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valentin Manny started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Cleto Ezkerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stasio Niezywy came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario Central's Valentin Manny. But to his dismay, Valentin Manny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Stasio Niezywy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristoforo Buonanno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Cleto Ezkerra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hugo Gatti. That made the score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. After 13 played minutes VillegasClub got a freekick which was hit by Roman Florian. After having played for 14 minutes, Valentin Manny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario Central's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Manny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Bonifacio Fortun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Abalos in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hugo Gatti, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Valentin Manny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Stasio Niezywy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, one of VillegasClub:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Rosario Central a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roque Azubeli, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of VillegasClub's Stasio Niezywy. 1-2. Cleto Ezkerra struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Hugo Gatti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VillegasClub. In the 40th match minute, Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Pinto to maneuver through the defense. If Alfonso Abalos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleto Ezkerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleto Ezkerra was the one to do the kick off. VillegasClub's Cleto Ezkerra got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes VillegasClub got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Demesio. Cleto Ezkerra took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Gatti. Hugo Gatti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Ezkerra in the 63rd minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Hugo Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, VillegasClub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Emeterio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cleto Ezkerra in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Gatti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Ezkerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stasio Niezywy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Galsino in the 82nd minute of play. VillegasClub's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
