Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Havier in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Orlin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 27 played minutes Curupayti AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Medero. 29 minutes into the match, Curupayti AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Chap came free, but Damian Orlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Curupayti AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Lucio Gilesindo scored to the left of an out of position Damian Orlin, making the score, 2-0. Esteve Ramond might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Hernando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteve Ramond ran back to his position shaking his head. Victor Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Ramond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, one of Curupayti AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Curupayti AFC. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Atlético Mar del Plata. Eusebio Havier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Damian Orlin. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Damian Orlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Gilesindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Eusebio Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Orlin having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Lucio Gilesindo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Mar del Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Gilesindo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Lucio Gilesindo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Mar del Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Eusebio Havier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Damian Orlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Atlético Mar del Plata's Lucio Gilesindo in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
