An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Pinto in the 3rd minute of play forced Al Hornillo FC's goalkeeper Santiago Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 minutes of play, Caspi FC's Olov Ekegren made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Odon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Santiago Odon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Ekegren in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18thth minute of the game Olov Ekegren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Al Hornillo FC's Santiago Odon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Melquiades Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Santiago Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Odon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteban Merexildo went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Caspi FC's Olov Ekegren in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Al Hornillo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Kleon Kopanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Domenec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Ekegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Odon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Merexildo in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olov Ekegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Esteban Merexildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Santiago Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Olov Ekegren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caspi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Olov Ekegren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Odon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Olov Ekegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Al Hornillo FC's zone, Olov Ekegren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Odon came out of the goal and Olov Ekegren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Melquiades Ruy took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Santiago Odon to make any attempt to save it. Esteban Merexildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Odon having to interfere. Al Hornillo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Olov Ekegren scored to the left of an out of position Santiago Odon, making the score, 0-4. Santiago Odon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Ekegren in the 76th minute of play. Santiago Odon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Ekegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timoteo Uhin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Kleon Kopanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Domenec, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Olov Ekegren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olov Ekegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Al Hornillo FC's Santiago Odon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Al Hornillo FC from getting a goal against them. Melquiades Ruy might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Odon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melquiades Ruy ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Innocenzio in the 94th minute of play forced Caspi FC's goalkeeper Kleon Kopanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caspi FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
