Damaso Nofre made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Marcos Donio sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the match, Atalanta B. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mario Erramun came free, but Tolek Sokol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Federico Montrel put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tolek Sokol.
