In the 13th minute, Raimundo Iratze ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Artal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Hilario Rey's late challenge caught a Gowland AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Rey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, MALUGANI F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Rey to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gowland AFC booed when MALUGANI F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Rey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gowland AFC's Blas Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute Blas Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Artal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Arce in the 55th minute of play forced MALUGANI F.C.'s goalkeeper Abel Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 57 minutes on the clock, Eusebio Gorosti commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Abel Artal came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gowland AFC's Blas Arce. But to his dismay, Blas Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 89 minutes into the match, Marciano Porfirio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Artal. MALUGANI F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marciano Porfirio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gowland AFC had played much better football throughout.
