Celso Jurdan charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Jurdan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nereo Lucado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Jurdan's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Nereo Lucado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Jurdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Illan during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nereo Lucado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Örjan Källberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örjan Källberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Monteros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Nereo Lucado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Jurdan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Milan's Ariel Cugat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Illan in the 95th minute of play. AC Milan's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Monteros had won, even though AC Milan had held more of the ball.
