In the 4th minute, Osvaldo Fonso made a precise shot to the right of Iker Palos. Merlo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Dionisio Bertin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Iker Palos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Gaudencio Gaufred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Oalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvaro Llorenc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Enrique Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, The Jaguars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Belasko came free, but Enrique Oalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Merlo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dionisio Bertin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 34 minutes into the match, Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Iratxo came free, but Iker Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Iker Palos managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when The Jaguars FC's Osvaldo Fonso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to The Jaguars FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Constantino Bazkoare hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldo Fonso during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gaudencio Gaufred blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Oalo having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Fonso made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Bazkoare in the 53rd minute of play forced Merlo's goalkeeper Iker Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of The Jaguars FC booed when Merlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Gabrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, The Jaguars FC's Jaime Gelmiro tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Merlo's zone, Osvaldo Fonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Palos came out of the goal and Osvaldo Fonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Gaudencio Gaufred who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Jaguars FC's Enrique Oalo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Gaudencio Gaufred managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Gaufred was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Belasko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enrique Oalo, 1-1. Dionisio Bertin hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Iker Palos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Fonso's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Dionisio Bertin scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iker Palos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Fonso in the 82nd minute of play forced Merlo's goalkeeper Iker Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Inguma came free, but Iker Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingos Inguma in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Palos saved Merlo from getting behind. Dionisio Bertin scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iker Palos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Ostots came free, but Iker Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that The Jaguars FC were the better team. The Jaguars FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
