In the 4th minute, Haroldo Napier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Dep Dinam fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Laferrere's Lázaro Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Napier in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Napier in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lázaro Colon saved Laferrere from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haroldo Napier to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Laferrere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Jayvier to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Napier in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lázaro Colon saved Laferrere from getting behind. Lázaro Colon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Napier in the 73rd minute of play. Laferrere's Lázaro Colon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Laferrere from getting a goal against them. Haroldo Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Lázaro Colon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Lain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Lázaro Colon made a huge save. Augusto Rutenio's late challenge caught a Dep Dinam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Rutenio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Laferrere getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Augusto Rutenio hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Felix Lain got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Felix Lain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Lázaro Colon made a huge save. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laferrere's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Lain made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 96thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Lázaro Colon would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The Laferrere fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dep Dinam were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
