An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Torres in the 3rd minute of play forced LA CARLOTA FC's goalkeeper Amadeo Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Rutenio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Benito Hermelando fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Renga FC's protests and gave Benito Hermelando a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, La Renga FC's Benito Hermelando got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Armando Clis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes of play, LA CARLOTA FC's Constantino Bide made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Rioja was left in no man's land by his defense there! Constantino Bide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Torres in the 16th minute of play forced LA CARLOTA FC's goalkeeper Amadeo Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gaudencio Tohias fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA CARLOTA FC's protests and gave Gaudencio Tohias a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes La Renga FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Luzea. Amadeo Intxixu made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Eduardo Pacifico sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Torres in the 28th minute of play forced LA CARLOTA FC's goalkeeper Amadeo Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Rioja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Rutenio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Constantino Bide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Rioja having to make a save. Constantino Bide struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Raimundo Rioja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA CARLOTA FC. Raimundo Rioja didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantino Bide went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Constantino Bide might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Rioja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantino Bide ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute, Ronnie Wood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gogo Eguerdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Rioja having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rosendo Torres to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Damaso Rutenio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 54 played minutes, La Renga FC's Candido Jakobe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeo Intxixu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Renga FC reached it. Amadeo Intxixu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Hermelando, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Constantino Bide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA CARLOTA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Bide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Constantino Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Renga FC's goalkeeper Raimundo Rioja, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfredo Luzea was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Hernan Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Raimundo Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernan Nabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Rioja having to interfere. When Victoriano Izotz came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the LA CARLOTA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Izotz couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, La Renga FC's Raimundo Rioja got control of the ball when Alfonso Iraitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimundo Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Rutenio in the 89th minute of play. Gogo Eguerdi struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Raimundo Rioja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA CARLOTA FC. After a defensive mix-up in La Renga FC's zone, Damaso Rutenio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Rioja came out of the goal and Damaso Rutenio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. LA CARLOTA FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
