After a defensive mix-up in Barrialito's zone, Lino Omero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Esdras came out of the goal and Lino Omero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lino Omero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Quenomá FC's Zeledon Lluciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Quenomá FC from getting a goal against them. Saverio Perrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Tobias Esdras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Godfredo Luzaide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quenomá FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Luzaide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quenomá FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Omero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Reynaldo Abajas came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Quenomá FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Abajas couldn't finish the play. After 97 played minutes Quenomá FC got a freekick which was hit by Severo Lonzo. After having played for 98 minutes, Gustavo Mikelats managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrialito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Mikelats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quenomá FC played a much better game than Barrialito and deserved their victory. The Barrialito players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
