Spectators: 6655 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Octavio Cordarrol made the kick off which started today's match. After 2 minutes of play, Stereophonics FC's Wilfried Sturm made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Frutos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusebio Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Aureliano Fraco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jacinto Llanos. Eduardo Isaio charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduardo Isaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute Tiburcio Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliano Fraco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosendo Hartz in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Cevallos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfried Sturm came free, but Ruperto Frutos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Medina charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Medina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cevallos FC's Julio Medina got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute, Wilfried Sturm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruperto Frutos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 36 played minutes Stereophonics FC got a freekick which was hit by Radomir Skaradoski. 40 minutes into the game, Octavio Cordarrol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aureliano Fraco. Octavio Cordarrol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Wilfried Sturm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfried Sturm to make the kick off. Ruperto Frutos made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Tiburcio Quiroga sent off a good shot on target. Wilfried Sturm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tiburcio Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosendo Hartz might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aureliano Fraco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosendo Hartz ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilfried Sturm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Frutos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Wilfried Sturm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stereophonics FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfried Sturm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Frutos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cevallos FC's Ruperto Frutos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Sturm in the 74th minute of play. Diego Sidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ruperto Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristobal Otsando's late challenge caught a Stereophonics FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristobal Otsando helped the player get up and apologised. Cristobal Otsando hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. If Tiburcio Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Wilfried Sturm rounded Cevallos FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. With his leg Ruperto Frutos managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Stereophonics FC's Tiburcio Quiroga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stereophonics FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
