But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Olayo couldn't finish the play. Hector Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristo Cebrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Bermudo's late challenge caught a Batel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Batel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Olayo was the one to do the kick off. Norberto Ignado hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Fausto Galoer's late challenge caught a Batel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
