The supporters of Merlo FC booed when Correcaminos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Ekain didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Correcaminos's Dante Cilio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dante Cilio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Correcaminos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dante Cilio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Merlo FC. Gonzalo Meder stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving 邓耀德. 1-0. If Arnulfo Feliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Correcaminos's 邓耀德 got control of the ball when Gavino Oxel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cayetano Selatse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Isidoro Mundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Selatse in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Mundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Correcaminos's 邓耀德 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Correcaminos from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnulfo Feliz to strike the kick off in the second half. Gavino Oxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cayetano Selatse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Correcaminos's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Selatse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Mundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalmacio Ekain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Isidoro Mundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Cayetano Selatse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Correcaminos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Selatse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 minutes, Gavino Oxel made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Correcaminos's 邓耀德 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Arnulfo Feliz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 邓耀德 was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Eleuterio Sol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Cayetano Selatse kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isidoro Mundo. That made the score 2-2 in the 84 minute of play. Cayetano Selatse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Isidoro Mundo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gavino Oxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Dalmacio Ekain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes Correcaminos got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Ekain. Correcaminos's 邓耀德 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Oxel in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
