Thanks to some nice moves Ladislao Claus could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Sixto Oriche however easily saved by the left post. 10 minutes into the game, Niceto Gilesindo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirquitas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Congreso FC the free kick. In the 11th minute, Abelardo Neron made a precise shot to the right of Sixto Oriche. Pirquitas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Sixto Oriche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Congreso FC's Ladislao Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Lordi in the 20th minute of play. Ladislao Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Oriche having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Claus got free with Sixto Oriche in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Nedko Tabandzhov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sixto Oriche. The goal made the score 2-0. If Ladislao Claus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Congreso FC's Nedko Tabandzhov got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Conrado Lordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Tipi's late challenge caught a Congreso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Tipi helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Pirquitas got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Tipi. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislao Claus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play Pirquitas's Humberto Tipi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Pirquitas's Humberto Tipi got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ismael Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Niceto Gilesindo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Pirquitas's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Tristan came free, but Sixto Oriche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixto Oriche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Claus in the 73rd minute of the match. Sixto Oriche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siro Tristan went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When Siro Tristan came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Congreso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Tristan couldn't finish the play. Pirquitas's Conrado Lordi got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pirquitas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Congreso FC.
