Fulgencio Inguma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Orti, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a little luck, Cuquero AFC's Omar Ondino got control of the ball when Arnoldo Elazar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute Basilio Lore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Inguma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Inguma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Lore in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Arnoldo Elazar made a precise shot to the right of Omar Ondino. Cuquero AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Basilio Lore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Fulgencio Inguma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Vinicio Sanduru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuquero AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Oeste Rock & Club the free kick. Omar Ondino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Elazar in the 37th minute of play. Igor Joseph's late challenge caught a Cuquero AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Joseph helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes El Oeste Rock & Club got a freekick which was hit by Igor Joseph. If Basilio Lore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Elazar to make the kick off. Severiano Orti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severiano Orti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Severiano Orti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fulgencio Inguma firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavio Abadie got free with Fulgencio Inguma in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cuquero AFC's Albino Joachim was substituted for Basilio Lore. Albino Joachim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Inguma having to interfere. Fulgencio Inguma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Joachim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Ondino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
