Spectators: 7092 (Terracing: 5320, Seating: 1631, VIP seats: 141) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ubaldo Tomi made the kick off which started today's match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ceferino Martinez in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Grabiel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celedonio Gregory recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remigio Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Boniel having to interfere. After 8 played minutes C. A. Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Gregory. In the 10th match minute, Callejero de Hernando was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Seber to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Fausto Mederi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ceferino Martinez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubaldo Tomi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Marcelino Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ceferino Martinez to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of C. A. Peñarol booed when Callejero de Hernando was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Mederi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th match minute, C. A. Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Bras to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceferino Martinez in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Grabiel saved Callejero de Hernando from getting behind. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ceferino Martinez sped through Callejero de Hernando's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastian Grabiel. If Fausto Mederi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Leonides Erruki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ubaldo Tomi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Marcelino Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Seber hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. A collision led to C. A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Leonides Erruki hit a great ball. Fausto Mederi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Boniel having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Ceferino Martinez put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sebastian Grabiel. Sebastian Grabiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Martinez in the 91st minute of the match. Many of Callejero de Hernando's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Callejero de Hernando may have spent more time on the ball, but C. A. Peñarol were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
