When Vinicio Steven came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the El Equipo del Pulpo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Steven couldn't finish the play. Hector Barrionuevo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Lucila's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Maderas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Lucila came free, but Hector Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Maderas AFC's Hector Barrionuevo got control of the ball when Cipriano Lucila tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute, Venancio Henrico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute Celso Dominix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksymilian Maruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maderas AFC's Hector Barrionuevo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Maderas AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Vinicio Steven left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Equipo del Pulpo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Hector Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Lucila in the 28th minute of the match. El Equipo del Pulpo's Cipriano Lucila managed to work through Maderas AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cipriano Lucila dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Eriberto Betadur kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Tadeo Katia kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Lucila to make the kick off. Hector Barrionuevo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tobias Figueroa struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Maksymilian Maruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maderas AFC. 67 minutes into the match, Vinicio Steven had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Barrionuevo. Maderas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinicio Steven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Tadeo Katia's late challenge caught a Maderas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeo Katia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, El Equipo del Pulpo's Tadeo Katia got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Raul Refugio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Equipo del Pulpo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maderas AFC the free kick. The supporters of Maderas AFC booed when El Equipo del Pulpo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Cipriano Lucila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Hector Barrionuevo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Raul Refugio managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Equipo del Pulpo's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Refugio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano Lucila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Hector Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Barrionuevo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Hector Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Lucila in the 84th minute of play. Hector Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Lucila in the 92nd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Equipo del Pulpo had played much better football throughout.
