Newell´s Old Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SILAS FC the free kick. Newell´s Old Boys's Leontin Troncotă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Honrio in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Edgard Jakes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newell´s Old Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Jakes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Erdem Bakkalbaşı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ali Erdem Bakkalbaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Ospetsu in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, SILAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Jakes came free, but Ali Erdem Bakkalbaşı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Jairo Gomez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Erdem Bakkalbaşı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Ospetsu in the 59th minute of the match. SILAS FC's Ali Erdem Bakkalbaşı proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save SILAS FC from getting a goal against them. Erling Mattsson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Santiago Iratzeder hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newell´s Old Boys had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
