If Jonas Boni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Felipo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Severiano Hermelando sent off a good shot on target. Gogo Eutor kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Placido Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Clementi having to interfere. Edgard Clementi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Jonas Boni was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Villa Mitre's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Placido Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Leon Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Clementi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th match minute, La Ribera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Eutor to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Placido Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Boni in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Felipo saved La Ribera from getting behind. Placido Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, La Ribera's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Boni came free, but Camilo Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Fernandes in the 61st minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Edgard Clementi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Villa Mitre's Edgard Clementi got control of the ball when Leon Salamon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Camilo Felipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Hermelando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Salamon charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Salamon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, La Ribera's Leon Salamon got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Camilo Felipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Hermelando in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Ribera's goalkeeper Camilo Felipo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Felipo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Boni went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Mitre's zone, Leon Salamon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Clementi came out of the goal and Leon Salamon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Placido Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the La Ribera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Camilo Felipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Hermelando, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Villa Mitre players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
