The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Santa Maradona F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Martin Orlin. After having played for 10 minutes, Rigoberto Ciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Maradona F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Ciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Orlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Georgi Velinov made a huge save. Anier Perico hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Ciano got free with Georgi Velinov in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Los Pibes de Congreso's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Ritchie in the 25th minute of play. If Iker Gustau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Belo came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Pibes de Congreso's Urbano Mateus. But to his dismay, Urbano Mateus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Urbano Mateus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Rigoberto Ciano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georgi Velinov was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristobal Ritchie to strike the kick off in the second half. Iker Gustau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Belo having to interfere. When Iker Gustau came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Los Pibes de Congreso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Gustau couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iker Gustau kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albano Belo. That made the score 2-2 in the 60 minute of play. Santa Maradona F.C.'s Albano Belo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Gustau in the 65th minute of play. Albano Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Gustau in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Los Pibes de Congreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Gustau to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Iker Gustau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Belo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Kismi in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georgi Velinov saved Los Pibes de Congreso from getting behind. If Iker Gustau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Los Pibes de Congreso's Urbano Mateus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albano Belo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albano Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Gustau in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iker Gustau in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albano Belo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st match minute, Santa Maradona F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Orlin to maneuver through the defense.
