The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans-Kristian Furseth got free with Esteve Quiroga in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ticosis FC booed when Magdala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivar Bäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fausto Peter came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ticosis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Peter couldn't finish the play. In the 36th match minute, Magdala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Oskarbi to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Loreto in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Urre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44thth minute of the game Aldo Loreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ticosis FC's Eduardo Urre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Hans-Kristian Furseth took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Esteve Quiroga to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans-Kristian Furseth was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Esteban Jon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anibal Oskarbi's late challenge caught a Ticosis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Oskarbi helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Ticosis FC a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fausto Peter, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Magdala's Esteve Quiroga. 3-0. After 69 played minutes Magdala got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Damião. If Hugo Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute of the match Jorge Jesco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Urre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Hans-Kristian Furseth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Esteve Quiroga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 79 played minutes, Magdala's Gonçalo Alves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Urre came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Magdala reached it. Fausto Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Urre made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Aldo Loreto sent off a good shot on target. Ticosis FC's Eduardo Urre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Ticosis FC from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute Fausto Peter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Quiroga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Magdala's Jorge Jesco got a free kick in the 91st minute. Esteve Quiroga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Peter in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ticosis FC fully deserved thier win.
