To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bonifacio Ramone during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Lehmann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Pietro to maneuver through the defense. Prudencio Porfirio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candido Berdaitz went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
