The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to CaPuSoTo F. C. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Dabi helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Dabi kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, CaPuSoTo F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Perfecto to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, CaPuSoTo F. C.'s goalkeeper Elias Aztore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by German Lopez. German Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Club Atlético Calamar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Santio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute Jorge Dabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Hotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Hotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Remigio in the 32nd minute of play. Hector Gonsalvo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Ulises Hotz came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by CaPuSoTo F. C.'s Isaac Quinteros. But to his dismay, Isaac Quinteros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Melquiades Peruanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Elias Aztore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Melquiades Peruanton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, CaPuSoTo F. C.'s Isaac Quinteros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulises Hotz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ulises Hotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Quinteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Elias Aztore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Santio went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. 6-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Marcelo Santio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. German Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Aztore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Elias Aztore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Santio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
