After a defensive mix-up in Vespucio's zone, Isidro Mitxel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marciano Jacob came out of the goal and Isidro Mitxel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, San Cristóbal's Leonel Diaz got a free kick in the 18th minute. A collision led to Vespucio getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Zacarias Pirmin hit a great ball. Marciano Jacob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Rolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of San Cristóbal booed when Vespucio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Rolado in the 23rd minute of play forced Vespucio's goalkeeper Marciano Jacob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Vespucio defense, Isidro Mitxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marciano Jacob. The Vespucio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marciano Jacob should have stopped the shot. Isidro Mitxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When San Cristóbal's Isidro Mitxel in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Marciano Jacob guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Mitxel in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marciano Jacob saved Vespucio from getting behind. If Isidro Mitxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alfonso Rolado sped through Vespucio's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marciano Jacob. Alfonso Rolado struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Marciano Jacob didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Cristóbal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Alfonso Rolado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vespucio's Marciano Jacob was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vespucio's Marciano Jacob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Mitxel in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feliciano Geofredo was the one to do the kick off. Victorio Basualdo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Abarca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vespucio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Cristóbal the free kick. In the 67th match minute, Vespucio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Abarca to maneuver through the defense. San Cristóbal's Leonel Diaz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vespucio. After 73 played minutes Vespucio got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Abarca. Marciano Jacob made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Rolado in the 84th minute. Isidro Mitxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Marciano Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Alfonso Rolado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marciano Jacob, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Mitxel in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marciano Jacob saved Vespucio from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded San Cristóbal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vespucio.
