The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esteban Perutxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Nataniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Felipe Sansone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ñorquinco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Sansone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Ñorquinco FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sunchales:s goal. Ñorquinco FC:s Esteban Perutxo showed great skill when he stopped Enzo Clementi:s penalty. Ciriaco Cresenciano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Cesar Duardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Cesar Duardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Sunchales's Cesar Duardo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Esteban Perutxo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Nataniel's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Cesar Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Enzo Clementi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Esteban Perutxo. Ñorquinco FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sunchales fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Tomás Ignatius went to the wrong direction when Ceferino Marko was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, Sunchales's Ambrosio Urtsua got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Cesar Duardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Juan Nataniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Esteban Perutxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Perutxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Nataniel in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Juan Nataniel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunchales's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Nataniel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Perutxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesar Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Esteban Perutxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Perutxo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juan Nataniel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 98 minute of play.
